Meet Kodiak!Male11 months old45 poundsLab Mix If you’re looking for an affectionate pup who absolutely LOVES to snuggle, Kodiak is the guy for you! Kodiak is a total sweetheart. He’s extremely friendly and hungry for attention and praise! He’s starting to come out of his shell and let his youthful energy show - he loves to chase after his stuffies or chew a good bone. He enjoys other dogs, and we think he’d do great with another dog/playmate in the house. The shelter he came from noted he was good with both dogs and cats. When we walk around the neighborhood, Kodiak does great! He doesn’t pull or react much to other dogs passing by. Kodiak is housetrained and has great bladder control when he’s crated, but he should be let out on a schedule since he’s still young. He has no problem being in his crate when we leave the house or at night (although we’re certain he would love to cuddle in bed if allowed!). Kodiak will need time and patience as he learns more basic commands. He is extremely eager to please and motivated by praise and treats, so we’re confident he’ll learn the ropes of being in a home quickly. He's already learned “sit” and is currently enjoying working on other skills (training sessions are another one of his favorite activities).
